Abstract
Purpose: This study was undertaken to explore the undergraduate students' knowledge, attitudes and use toward emergency contraception pills (ECPs).

Method: A survey of 280 undergraduate students (143 male and 137 female) was conducted at a large-size university in Gwangju during Spring semester in 2012.

Results: One third of the participants had experienced the use of contraception. About 8% of them experienced the use of ECP and they used it repeatedly. Participants' knowledge toward ECP was very poor. They had feared that the use of ECP would be negative for their health and pregnancy. However, they showed the positive attitude for availability of ECP without a prescription. There is a clear need of information dissemination for ECP and service management program in combination with university medical center to prevent the unwillingly pregnancy.
